    embroidery

Hi I am ready to begin the embroidery portion of the 2015 BOM. How many strands of floss do I use? I am guessing 2, but it woukd be good to know what Lynette recommends. Thanks

Lynette uses 2 strands of embroidery floss in her books - but I see in the requirements list for embroidery it says she used perle cotton.

I guess she left some things for us to decide ourselves. Hmm.

I would say two strands as well. On the TQS show Lynette says she uses 2 strands. I don't think it needs any more than that.

I just realised I have used back stitch for the windows rather than outline stitch - is outline stitch the same as stem stitch? Well I will leave it anyway. I also used dark grey thread rather than black.

Not to worry - after all, it is your house!!! We all decorate differently, non?

Outline stitch and stem stitch are pretty much the same thing except one of them 'cables' lefthandedly and the other 'cables' righthandedly (cannot remember which way round it is) Also they are the reverse side of back stitch - so you could say that you have done stem stitch after all

It is good to have an embroidery expert we can consult!
