    steam a seam

Unfortunately I have now run out of Steam a Seam, and it is not available anywhere here in the UK.
Will Floriani Fusible Stitch N Wash suit the Letters on the BOM quilt. If anyone else knows where I could purchase steam a seam I would be grateful - it is so versatile.
I love reading all the comments in the forum and will be posting my quilt when I have completed a little more sashing, Weather here in UK very hot at present, so gardening is all watering and not much sewing. Irene1

I don't know if you have Heat 'n Bond in the UK but look for any light weight fusible web product - it will work. I have been using Heat 'n bond light with no problems and in a pinch Wonder Under. OR...use drops of washable school along the edges of the letters about 1/2" (? mm) and iron lightly. Use the glue in a similar manner that Janet uses to hold two pieces of fabric together before piecing. I also preferred Steam a Seam but it's not available and we need to find another product that will work. Good Luck!

I can't find the post, it's been a while since it's been posted, but someone (I think Michelle (heartandsoulquilts)) posted that they had tried Fusi-Bond Lite Adhesive from Sew Lazy by Lazy Girl Designs. I found it at http://www.sewthankful.com. I've used it today all day doing machine applique on a wall hanging top. I used a microtex 70/12 needle and it has worked beautifully. No sticky residue of any kind on the needle. I'm using silk thread on top and bottom line in the bobbin. I have the old Steam a Seam 2 on hand that I'm going to use when I start on the BOM later this month, but I thought I'd try this out beforehand, just in case.
