Janet indicates 2 yards for the letters and sashing (because she uses the same fabric for both) in the Intro doc, I believe.

Perhaps Quilting Mojo should be re-defined

Sounds like you have some catching up to do - on the destashing part, if only we could drop by and help you

Carriers would make a great deal of money, just for "stash transportation"

Oh-ooh! I think that I am getting another exchange idea - not good or is it?

A transoceanic stash exchange could get really expensive.

One more thought Susan: I had a fabric I used one time that never bled...until I used starch on it. I don't normally use starch but for whatever reason, on this one project I did and let me tell you, I was happy to see the bleeding. Just a thought. Don't know if anyone else has had that problem or not. Now back to the topic

Return to which topic, Ritzy? Rosemary putting her stash in Lorna's suitcase?

Seriously, Ritzy, this is on topic! I rarely use light backgrounds like on this year's 2014 and I want to know if I'm using a bleeder. Now, I'll remember to starch every piece before using. I used Margo's tip about soaking 4 X 4 pieces and found the culprit of the purple/blue batch. It's on a good long soak, per Rosemary, in Blue Dawn, per Rita.

Do ya'll hear me squealing with delight from Aukland & Scotland to Indiana? I finished the Army part of the A block & am delighted with the way it came out EXCEPT, the last measurement was an eighth of an inch to 3/16 shy of 8 1/2 inches. I blocked that bugger & sprayed it with starch...it's perfect!

Other lessons...the BlocLoc Ruler (or is it LocBloc?) is great for cutting to the half inch, contrary to the Omnigrids with which I screw up cutting All the time! The lines are very fine & easy to see.

In one of the TQS hexie shows, the teacher mentioned using Staples brand Liquid Glue Pen. These are very inexpensive; however, I had to order some because it wasn't stocked. Staples shipped for free. I really like it...no clogged arteries and veins like in the tops of Elmer's pen tips. Gluing seams together with a little tiny edging of glue was really easy.

                            A for Army Applique tonight.

OK, OK, so you ARE on topic Susan  I was just concerned--I wasn't. Congrats on getting the A block done!
