It took me a few days to do the embroidery and applique, but it's done now. Not sure I'm loving the bottom part of the quilt, but I do love the rest of it. Maybe I quit a little too soon? Well, it is what it is, and I did learn a lot... My first ever mitered corners on the borders. A Kaffe stripe I found on line. Now to get it quilted and bound.

Here is my quilt top. I do not know what to do about borders because I am just about out of fabric (well, the Kaffe fabric).
Thanks, Alex, this has been so much fun. I would have never done anything like this with these colors, and I've never used Kaffe fabric because I was "afraid" of it.

Here's mine. It's "Not a Kaffe Mystery Qulit" :cheer: Worked from my stash, and challenged myself to feature purple, as I am not normally drawn to that color. I learned a lot about using purple, but learned even more seeing the very colorful quilts that everyone was making. Thanks Alex for leading us through this project, and to Barbara for helping so many of us learn the ropes forum-wise.

My real name is Linda I picked this striped fabric because it kept taking to me every time I was in the sewing room. It took some figuring to cut it to form the pattern. It looks muted because there are small white flowers printed over the primary color stripes.

Made every mistake you mentioned.as we went along. But perfected my piecing, used math for layouts and learned not to give up and accept a few lost points here and there. I'm hanging this baby on my wall to remind me to keep on learning. Thanks Alex and Barbara.. Ready to quilt with your ideas and bind it with every little scrap I have left

This is so big, I had to hang it over the railing - then the wind wouldn't quit - hence the hands holding the bottom down! LOL! Since I didn't use the blocks I made using solids and White - I'm going to piece those extra blocks into the back. I was inspired by "Dark Garden" one of the quilts in Kaffe's new book "Quilts in Burano".

The final layout of my Mystery to Me quilt. Need to determine if I plan to add to the quilt or just fill in the outside area with hst units.
