    Quilt Label pens

My fabric pens dried up  So I'm seeking some quilt markers/writers in order to add maker's labels. I'm wondering what you quilters have found to be the best fine point permanent fabric pens for writing on labels, that stands up to washing. (One is for a small child's quilt) Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

BleuRose, I have always used my embroidery machine to make my quilt labels. I did find a good article by googling Quilting Digest Best permanent pens for quilt labels.
They also said for longevity that stitching your label lasts longest. But they did have a bunch of tests and methods for treating the fabric and setting the ink. Worth reading.
    Hope this helps. HelenW

PS They said if they had to choose one it would be Pentel Arts Gel Roller for fabric.

Follow-up: Someone said that they couldn't get the Pentel Gel Marker for Fabric because they were discontinued by Pentel and I found that fact to be true. However, stock exists out there on the net.. I found Pentel Gel Markers for Fabric at $2.58, thinking that was a reasonable price, I bought 2. They arrived today. 2 boxes containing 24 pens. I know that I can't sell any pens here. I just wanted to give an update.

BleuRose, So glad you found your pens and are happy with them. If I remember right you plan to use them for a label on a baby quilt. The label is a special part of
the quilt because you can convey your wishes and sentiments about the person and what they mean to you. So I like to take the time to make it special. For a baby quilt
I like the label to include a saying and sometimes a poem along with name of the person receiving the quilt .
Example, Welcome To This World, baby's name.
        Born (put the date)
        Made With Love, (your name)
        August 2020
I also put a saying or verse or poem on an appliqué shape like a heart or butterfly near the label.

Here are a few I have used in the past. I usually adapt words to fit
what I want to say. HelenW
