    Blocks

I'm making 6 inch blocks. I've made 2 of each and identical colors because it saves fabric. Will all blocks be 3 grid? White seems to stand in for the light value. Does it make a difference about the value of the color choice from the wheel as depicted by the grey scale design in the block tool. (Light medium dark.)

judysews I hope I understand your question correctly. You do get to choose which blocks you make so if you want them all on the same grid you can do that. As for the color wheel, there is no easy answer. Your lights, mediums and darks are judged by their relation to the other fabrics. So yes, having white as your light will be more versatile because anything is darker than white.

bbCode: I'm finding that (following instructions) when adding an extra 1/8" to a block's dimension that will be cut diagonally and sewn creates extra space between a finished corner point and adjacent straight seam causing it to 'float'. I'm sewing a 1/4" seam allowance but it's not enough to eliminate the space. Am I missing a step?
      Thank you.

As I remember, the blocks where Alex added 1/8" were squares for making half square triangles. She trimmed them to the correct size after stitching - eliminating the extra space.

Do we cut the pieces for the 6 “ size of Night Vision as listed on the pattern?
