WHEN WILL SERIES 1900 be available on DVD?

I have sent several emails to the store and any other avenue on this forum to ask do they know when the DVDs FOR 1900 will be available. I want to update my collection. My internet is TERRIBLE and get worse not to mention more expensive so the only way I can see the episodes are by DVD. I am worried they will no longer be releasing the dvds ..... I did fill in some missing / broken dvds with the last sale.

Sorry to say that there are no plans to produce any more of the series on DVD.

Oh no! I have purchased every one of them to keep to review. What is the reasoning?

That doesn't sound good, I hope that this isn't the beginning of the end of The Quilt Show

Beverly, my best guess is that the shows are available on this website, so no need to invest in large inventory of dvd's.

Unless, of course, you have slow internet like a lot of us do.....

I live in an area where there are multiple internet providers and I can afford fast connections. I've never even checked into different cost/service levels. So, I'm not familiar with why some people do not have good internet connections. I remember the old dial up modem days that were extremely slow; amazing how much technology has advanced in my lifetime, and I've come to assume everyone has fast service. Can you tell me, is it a lack of good service in your area (rural area?), an economic difficulty, or perhaps just not knowing how you can improve your service? Please forgive my naïveté on this subject.

There is one thing I know that will affect your computer's performance. Delete the temporary files at least once a week. If you never do this, it will slow down your internet browsing.

I live in the mountains. We don't have things like cable and cell phone coverage. The only available internet service is a local provider. It's lower speed and gets even slower if a lot of neighbors are using the internet, too. There are times when I can't watch any videos. There are other times when I can watch things like Craftsy, iQuilt and YouTube with no problems. There doesn't seem to be any time when I can watch the TQS shows easily. I watch each show as it comes out, but it's painful. I set it on the lowest resolution and it is constantly stopping to buffer. Unfortunately, Vimeo seems to only want to buffer a minute of video at a time so I basically watch a minute of the show, go do something else while it buffers, then come back to watch another minute. It's a Vimeo limit and not a limit on my side because I have plenty of disk space and memory, and it is always exactly a minute of video that is buffered (I pay attention to the time on the bottom of the display).

I realize that most people live in populated areas that have all of the amenities. But it's frustrating for the many of us that don't to be ignored. But I guess that's just the way it goes.

I live in a rural area and have slow internet, especially with TQS. Because of this I rarely watch the shows. The DVD's are the main reason I have continued to subscribe to TQS. May have to rethink my affiliation when my subscription expires.

I also live in an area where there's only one provider (AT&T to be exact). They give very poor service and have no competition here to inspire them to do better. So that is why the dvd's are so important to me. I hope TQS will reconsider. I've been a member for years and would hate to have to give it up.

What a sad way to start a new year on TQS !! I suspect many of the viewers here live in rural and less
populated areas ! We have limited services and have to put up with it !! TQS...Ricky...Alex....Do not be so
blind to the rest of the world !! Is the bottom line so important ???

I have purchased every DVD that TQS has offered for the last ten years and I have great internet service. I love watching the series on my TV instead of my iPad.

I'm hoping that enough members will come forward to show their support that it will make sense financially to offer the DVDs again.

I have a limited amount of download time to use with my plan. I could get a larger plan, but the monthly cost is prohibitive for me. I do not have all the DVD's, but planned on getting them as soon as I could afford it. I hope TQS reconsiders. I would be happy to preorder and pay if that would make it more economical for TQS.

I would be happy to pre-order and pay as well. I am so glad I have been purchasing them all along.
