Anyone doing the PAT SLOAN SPLENDID SAMPLER BLOCKS

    https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheSplendidSampler/

Anyone doing the PAT SLOAN SPLENDID SAMPLER BLOCKS ? ? ? I am saving the patterns ( published every Sunday) I have been saving the block patterns but have not started piecing them yet due to a recent surgery. Just wondering if others are doing the blocks.

I've made the first 4 blocks but am also convalescing so saving the patterns. I really shouldn't start yet ankther WIP so decided to use the stash I'm also using for my Farmer's Wife blocks. At the same size, they should blend in if needs be.

Since I'm so behind on projects, I will be just downloading the blocks for future.

I thought of this until I found out it is two blocks a week and I simply cannot cope with that so thought better of it. I like the blocks though

I got a very late start, but have completed 14 of the 25 that have been revealed so far. Also, I've completed two of the bonus blocks. It isn't a race, so everyone goes at their own pace. You can choose to make all the blocks are just the ones you really like. You can follow the patterns exactly or just use them as inspiration. It's likely that I'll always be behind, but that's okay. However, I'm going to try to keep up with the new releases while catching up with the ones I've missed. I'm enjoying this quilt-along a lot while learning new techniques and meeting quilters from around the world.

Who among us doesn't have a bunch of WIPs? I had to stop quilting several months ago due to deteriorated ligaments in my right wrist--I'm right handed. I'm still recovering from wrist fusion surgery, so I'm using this project as part of my physical therapy.
