Here is a mug rug I received from Lorchan I love it ...there is enough room for a cuppa and a very large piece of cake.
I love the black work embroidery on it thanks Lorchan.

Rita, it's nice to do blackwork as you only have the one colour and it's easy to carry around with you. Some years ago I made a blackwork chess board and really enjoyed the process, it's easy to make up your own patterns. I'll try to post a picture soon.
I still have a problem with getting photo's onto the forum, my DD usually shows me how but by the time I want to do it again I've forgotten what she showed me. Doh!

I received this in the post yesterday but didn't know it because Eli was visiting and we didn't check the mail. It is from Rosemary and is the Uffington Horse. It is hand quilted. There were also some treats in the envelope. I am looking forward to trying the tea and have already broken open the chocolate.
Rosemary--please tell us how you did the horse. It looks like it is hand done but I am not familiar with the stitch.
Also, the choice of backing is great.
