    Quilting with Dupioni silk

I have never quilted with Dupioni silk before and was wondering if I need to put a fusible of some description on the back as a stabilizer, and if so, what brand/type or nothing at all? I will be doing machine applique with my pieces of silk onto Ricky Tims' hand dyed fabrics. I will be doing the 3 month BOM Lady of Shalott Rhapsody quilt starting Sept. 1/14. Thanks

Watch Episode 1503 and I believe you will know what to do.

My suspicion is that if the silk (or any fabric) ravels a lot it is a good idea to back it with a fusible. Just my opinion.
