    "Waiting..." Thanks TQS

Imagine my surprise to find my quilt "Waiting..." as today's Daily Blog quilt. I am delighted, especially because that quilt is a nice sampler of TQS techniques that I learned, or improved, here on TQS.

Machine applique techniques: Sue Nickels and Pat Holly..Shows 402 and 608 and Ricky on several shows
Sky Painting: Mickey Lawler on show 1305
Paper Piecing: Carol Doaks on show 602, and the month we had her video
Trapunto: 410 - Ricky demo; and 606 Philippa Naylor
Thread Painting: I actually learned this on my own, but Nancy Prince provides a great lesson on 1004

    Thanks TQS...made my weekend!

Thank you all. I don't know what I would have done without TQS and all its teaching. I certainly would never have tried painting the sky! I feel like they have supplied me with a Swiss Army knife of techniques to pull out and use to accomplish what I want for a particular quilt. Here's to TQS...may it be around for many years to come!!!
