Need angel design for a mug rug !

My oldest friend of 65+ years collects angels. She lives in Fla & we don't get to see each other. I want to make her a mug rug . I'm an experienced sewer & love paper piecing so what I need is an angel design I could adapt. I've not been too happy with the "kiddie" looking angels I keep finding. I was thinking more of a side view in flight??? Has anyone got a design I could adapt??/ I'd REALLY appreciate any help from my fellow quilters. BTW, it's 44* here in Westchester, NY this am....brrrrr.... Thanks SO much in advance. Nancygail

I have a book called "365 Foundation Quilt Blocks" by Linda Causee. They have 9 patterns for angels, and I'm sure you will find the kind you want in there. In fact, the cover has a pretty nice one. You might be able to order the book on Amazon or find it in a guild's library, or a local library.

Check out some of these, when you click on an image it will give you the link to the image itself where it can be downloaded. Most are free

I thank you both SO much for your help. I had to post the one I chose & I did because it made me smile...big time ! What else are these wonderful mug rugs all about anyway? Fun-fun-fun ! Too much serious stuff in our lives today that we can't control...I believe in humor...it's ALWAYS gotten me thru. So once again...thank you. My very best to the WONDERFUL people that care enough to respond when asked. Nancygail

Thank you! That one was from a class at quiltuniversity.com called "Elegant Angel." It will be taught by Lily Kerns and starts Oct 18. Registration begins next week (or possibly this Friday.) It is paper pieced.

Although the site will close at the end of the year, Lily will still be teaching, you can probably get information from her website.
