    Satin Binding on baby quilt?

Just wondered if anyone has done this, or is this a bad idea? Made a baby quilt and know little ones love satin. Would this be hard to do? I have premade satin binding from joannes. Help, please. Quilt has to be done by next Friday! thanks

I used it and remember it being easy...finished edges, so just stitch it on.

Have used it many times on baby quilts and blankets. Easy to put on and holds up to washing and drying really good. DD still has a little blanket and after 8 years and many washes still looks and feels good. You can see a photo here http://forum/i-need-quilting-related...ing-with-minky, just scroll down and you'll find it.

I remember having an ordinary blanket with a satin binding at one end, as a child, and absolutely loved running my fingers along the satin as I was dropping off to sleep. Go for it!

Me too! I managed to wiggle the thumb that wasn't in my mouth (Too Much Info - Sorry!) inside the binding to go to sleep. My love of touching fabric began very early!
