    circles with 2 nine patches

Help! I'm racking my brains trying to remember which show, and who, layered 2 ninepatch blocks of same design fabrics but different shades, then somehow cut out circles from the top layer to expose the lower. Interfacing was involved. Can anyone remember this show, and who did this technique ?. . . I'm having sleepless nights over it.
    Bye.

Could it be that you are thinking of the Libby Lehman video that was only available last fall?

Does anyone else have a suggestion??

Oh, you lovely lady! Many thanks. It's so annoying when you know you've seen something, somewhere! Now all I need is the fabric!

No sooner said than done! The scary thing is that I had made the centre panel of this quilt last year and totally forgotten how! I finally got around to adding scrappy borders to complete it. I may quilt concentric circles in the light patches - when I'm feeling strong! The colours are closer to the whole quilt photo.
              Happy quilting.

Gail, your quilt looks like so much fun! Hope you enjoyed working on it, even having forgotten how to do the circles, as much as I have looking at it.

                            Hi Gail,
I love your quilt, especially the circles using variegated thread it's a great effect.
Did you quilt it on a domestic sewing machine or a long arm?

Anne, Glad you like it. It was pinned to the wall for nearly a year before I decided to add the borders. I was waiting for inspiration. Free motion quilted and satin stitched on my weeny little Husqvarna.
