How about this! Hot pants when they were around for the first time. And before anybody asks...... yes, that's me. 8)

HOLEY MOLEY!! Isn't it too bad that we couldn't all look like we did in our youth, but be as smart as we are today :?:

Margot, when you have worked out how to do that, bottle it and sell it. In no time you'll have more money in the bank than Bill Gates.

Call me very old-fashioned but I would prefer young women dressed like that compared to what can be seen on a night out. The young and not-so young could do with a tabard and a pair of trousers over what they go out in these days. Oh and yes I did have a couple of tabards and flared trousers as well as the ones that looked like a box around your legs. I did my first patchwork round about the time that picture was publish I think. Late sixties early seventies? I'm glad I'm not young now! I can dress like I want

It is good that some things never come back in style.

Does anyone else find that when clothes shopping, just about everything seems to be a blast from the past? And when I can remember my mother wearing something similar, I really don't want to wear it.... but oddly enough, retro hosehold items (and furnishings) are fine (maybe they are comforting?)

Yes, and quite frankly some of them were not that wonderful the first time around! LOL

Ditto's--- Great picture Lorchen. The fabric looks fun and happy. Maybe a quilt inspiration? Thanks for sharing.

I don't think I ever wore my mini-skirts as short as some are today. I remember my favorite outfit, an op-art black and white skirt and yellow fish nets with patent leather pumps. Ha! Oh, and a black turtle neck.
