"Professional Tote" by Creative Thimble. Made this for the lady who cuts my hair !!!
Colors are more saturated...looks washed out in the pic! Big Bernie didn't handle
this heavy stuff at all... had to use my Viking Designer !!

Nice bag, Marilyn! Don't you just love that pattern? I've made one for myself that I really love and I'm hoping to find time to make one for my sister for Christmas. Too bad that Big Bernie didn't handle it well. My smaller, older Bernina didn't have a problem. It's a good thing you have the back-up machine!

Great to see your quilt, Rita, at http://quiltville.blogspot.com/. It's marvelous!!!

            Yes...Even my little 301A could sew over seams ! I used the biggest needle I had..Jeans 18
and went slow...but still missed stitches right along !! RRRRR ! Good case for having multiple
machines !! I have stuff to do another....I think the gal who does my toes deserves one !!
Too big for me to carry !!

That is some bag Marilyn! It looks like it has a place for everything. Was it as complicated to make as it looks?

                Hi Karen -

It's actually a lot easier than it looks. I found the instructions to be very clear and well-organized when I made mine a couple of years ago. It has a zipper pocket in the middle of the inside that was perfect for my old laptop (my "new" laptop is a little too big). Of course, tablets will fit in there very easily!

I was a bit intimidated at first  ...but LQS told me just to follow the steps. I did, and it was ok .
Instructions are very good, but you do need to read them and do as it says...most of the prep is done first...
so it moves right along. Like Nancy says !! I forget ! I live in the sticks !! Things come slowly to us in
Idaho!

Gee, I thought that only MY UFOs did that...glad to know that I have company!

What a wonderful bag, Marilyn. What did you use to stabilize it?

Thanks Connie, I was so surprised, and delighted too.

Marilyn that bag is fabulous. When I grow up I want to be able to make a bag like that too.

Fabulous works Rita and Marilyn. I tried to make a small bag about three years ago. I cut it out crooked ops:   therefore it lives in the bottom of my scrap box .

Norma ..the pattern called for a Pellon product called DecorBond...a heavy iron-on stabilizer.
They describe it as "firm and extra crisp". Nearly every piece is stabilized. Some folks use
a product called "Soft and Stable" on the body pieces instead....I haven't tried it yet.
