        Thanks for the link, Rita.

This is really a fast quilt to make up!

Very, nice quilt. Nice work! Now I am curious and will have to check out the 10 minute block on utube.

Just watched the 10-minute block video...very clever! Thanks to Terrie and Rita for sharing the link!

Rita, that is the exact link I tried to copy/paste to the forum. :!: How do you do it? :?:
When I tried the forum said there was some error.

Terrie I just highlight the link at the top of the window (the web address), go to Edit on my desktop and 'copy' the image. Then I go to the forum and paste it onto the page I am posting a reply to. I hope that makes sense.

Thanks, Rita. I've usually done that in the past, but in the case of the tutorial, it didn't work (from the TQS side) .
                    Thanks

Neat quilt Terrie. I just watched the video Rita posted the link too. We did one similar to it at quilt guild. We called it a 3-D bowtie. We did not topstitch the edges of the center piece, and had the two opposites squares the same fabric as the center piece. I liked the cathedral look on the video too.

Sometimes, I think if I'm posting at the same time as someone else, TQS has a hiccup. I've wondered where my post went & then start over.

Yup, if you post at the same time as someone else only one gets through, the other ends up in oblivion...
To fix this, make sure you are in 'Full Editor' mode, and click on 'Preview'. This saves the post. You can then 'Submit' as usual.
If you are writing a longish post, or adding pictures, it's also a good idea to use the preview function to save it as you go... :P

For real?! I had no idea, and I certainly would like to avoid oblivion, if at all possible!

I FINISHED A QUILT! I FINISHED A QUILT! It feels like forever since I actually finished a quilt but this one is now done and I am happy with it. It is a completely scrappy quilt. Everything in it was made with leftover scraps, the strips in jelly rolls that are too ugly to work with anything else, the strips left over after squaring up a quilt, backing fabric leftovers, leftover 4-patches, left over HSTs etc. I decided to try the QAYG (quilt as you go) method and that is why there is a sashing strip through the centre. It worked a treat and I really like the way it has turned out. The quilt has ended up 80"x80".

I used my walking foot to quilt the entire quilt too. Here's a detail of the centre:

The idea for these triangles came from one of the TQS newsletter 'stash buster' articles. I thought it was a great idea and so I made a gazillion of them with left over scraps. Didn't know what I would do with them at the time but I think they fitted in really well with this quilt.
Yeah I know I lost the tips of the plain triangles on the outer border but I will try to get it perfect next time. The pattern for the main body of the quilt was one from Bonnie Hunter's 'leader ender' projects on Quiltville.
