Michelle, when you're done, you can drive on up to Tennessee and help with mine. My husband suggested I move my sewing corner into one of the spare bedrooms. This will give me room for my design wall, ironing area, more cutting room and a place to set my second machine up. Now to figure out what, where and when.

The longarm studio (his) was completed a couple of years ago. That has definitely cut down on my UFOs.

All it needs (or is getting) is a sleeve for hanging and some binding. Does writing this mean commitment?
Susan, your quilting is so beautiful! Will you show us the rest of it when you're ready? Happy New Year!

I will be working on the hand applique border of my HST exchange quilt, my guild's mystery quilt, and a bed quilt for my youngest daughter's best friend. Then there is lots of binding to be sewn onto place mats I make with scraps. On the side, I have decided to add some more hand quilting on a lap top I finished last year.

Thank you Renata! I'll post them in my profile since up close is the glory of this piece.

Just to let you all know, the distraction of inspiration has started already with the new show on today. I want to draw feathers with my initials :?

Michelle - I'm in Chattanooga. I have daughter in Atlanta. We were at Tiny Stitches last week. We bought our Gammill from Pat at Calico Cottage.

Marti, please let me know the next time you pass my way! I am in Acworth, near Marietta. Are you going to the Ricky Tims Superseminar in a few weeks?

I finished it... in 2013!!! Sometime mid day yesterday. It's hard to know when to quit with embellishments, isn't it, but I finally said "enough"; time to move on! It was supposed to be for my sister-in-law for Christmas, but her birthday is in a couple of weeks so, as it turns out, I'm early! :!:  Sorry for my marginal photography skills.

Charae, that's really nice. I even recognize some of my favorite fabrics!

Michelle, I wasn't aware that Ricky was going to be in Atlanta. Will check that out. We don't get down there much but will look you up some time.

Love it, Charae! I know what you mean about embellishments. You can always add more, so how do you stop? I'm sure your SIL will love it, too!

Well done Charae, I love your quilt and the little button embellishment. The photos are good!

Perhaps we should have a counter running and add each quilt finished. How many do you think we'd get to in 2013.

Charae, your photo quilt is lovely--what a great gift for your SIL. I really like what you did in combining fabric colors, and the buttons were a "just right" embellishment.
