I took a course with Debbie Kemball last year and she unabashedly, and confidently said, looking straight into my eyes "I am a full-time quilter!" So there. That's her perspective and she has the proof of it with her winning quilts and books. I guess it can be whatever we want it to be.

Since January, when I "retired", I am a full time fabric artist/quilter. I hope to prove it in the future with winning quilts and books. It is so wonderful so far. I still don't like cutting things out, though.

I am hoping you can be a full time quilter and not have to have ribbons like Debbie Kemball to prove it. I think being regularly productive ought to do.

If you are quilting full time, then you are a full time quilter! (And I envy you!!) Ribbons are just frosting on the cake. I hope to join you as a full time quilter in 15 years or so (if I can save enough money...). But being a part time quilter is great, too!

I am not a full timer quilter because I have a husband, 4 sons, 2 DIL, 5 grands, 3 DS, 1 DB, a dog ...get it? But I quilt whenever I can - no ribbons, not even sure I want someone poking around my stuff with a magnifying loop to see all my fudging and fixing. I just really enjoy it! I've only kept one quilt I've made so far and that is the SOTTT quilt.

TQS and all you sweet, sewing sisters (& some brothers, too) have been such a rich part of my life!
I travel a lot. DH is commuting to work in Alabama for the next year, and family are all hither & yon.
So it seems that guild meetings are always whenever & wherever I am not!
TQS and the Forum are a 24/7 International Guild...par excellence!
                                And such fun!
