    Anne,

This information is posted in the application information for all the major shows. Here is one example:

I only ever won one 1st Prize, and the memory is very precious. My older son was 5 years old and everybody had to dress up for a special party at his pre-school group. Unfortunately there are no pictures. He looked adorable in green tights (borrowed from a neighbour's daughter) and a brown tabard as Robin Hood. I didn't look bad either as his Maid Marian, in a floor-length dark burgundy dress and a sort of mediaval head thing created from an old Nottingham lace table cloth. And what was the 1st Prize? We got a little bag of smarties each.

Back to the main subject: Betty Jo, I'm sure you'll get that ribbon sooner than you think!

And may I remind you all that Ricky financed part of his Harley with the cash prize from one of the big shows.

Anne, Festival of Quilts, the biggest show in the UK pays:

        Best in Show: £2000
        Visitors' Choice: £1000
Amateur Quilt of the Year: £1000
        Winners in individual categories: £1000

Of course, if you are very lucky, you could be Best in Show, Visitors' Choice, AND Amateur Quilt of the Year.

Thank you ladies, it's nice to know what the prizes are.
I think the winners deserve every penny the quilts are fabulous, the ones from Judy Woodworth and Susan Stewart are unbelievable, how I would love to be able to see them but as I live in the UK not much chance I'm afraid.
One other thing I wonder how much those quilts weigh????
          Happy quilting
