I am going on vacation in Europe with my family this summer and will be travelling through Provence, France. Does anyone know of a good and not too terribly expensive store that sells the famous printed fabrics? Any ideas? -
Hi Margarethe, If you are looking for fabric with the Provence patterns then possibly your best bet will be at local markets in the towns. Most towns have a market once a week - you could as when and where at your hotel. Other than that, there are gift shops which stock household items made from fabrics with Provence patterns on them. There is a quilt shop in Nice but it does not stock Provencal fabrics - just regular quilting fabrics at very high prices! Fabric is not cheap in Europe, be prepared. But have a great time anyway. Me love France!
