    iPad?

Is there a way to download a few show to my iPad so I can watch them when I don't have Internet access? I will be going on a design weekend with girlfriends and would love to get inspired when I can actually do something about it!

I don't think they can be downloaded. To watch the shows on the iPad without internet is to have 3G and pay 25.00 a month for the service.

I use the 3G more than I thought I would. It has come in pretty handy while traveling, hospital visits where the wifi is really slow and waiting rooms.

Ok, I'll be honest here... When my DH spent the money on a top-line model iPad, after buying a fancy iPod Touch not long before... I thought he'd gone overboard. Then when he explained that he got the AT&T data plan for the iPad, I thought he'd wasted our money (no matter that I can spend a lot at the fabric store... It's really needed! Lol).
Then... We had a multi-day power outage (frequent occurrence in our more-rural-than-the-neighborhood-looks area!) Even with our house generator (necessary around here, our house came with the special hook-up pre-installed) we don't get Internet/DSL and our home wi-fi network is kaput (blame it on phone company, and the fact that DH's main floor office (where the router & wi-fi equipment are installed) is NOT one of the rooms wired to the generator panel).
Sooooo, I can't connect to the outside world while home alone mid-week! Until I remember,... The iPad!!! I began using it that day (my sewing machine was in a room WITH generator power) and I believe I have used it 6 out of every 7 days since! So I DO watch the TQS shows on "my" iPad, and it often sits right next to my Pfaff. I, a Windows geek from OS 3.0 days, have embraced an Apple device! Shock! Amazement! And I've apologized to DH for dissing his data plan service purchase for said device ops:

Yes mine was also an god send during our outage. It was nice to have that connection with the world.
