Thanks so much everyone! I have had a wonderful birthday. Dawn, I hope you can really celebrate now that the fridge is fixed and the towels washed. Personally, I like to celebrate for at least a few days.

Betty Jo and Dawn, belated happy birthday to both of you. Continued celebrations to you Betty Jo. Dawn, sorry about the fridge, what a pain. I have been there with the hair dryer, buckets and mops, towels etc. That's not a fun way to spend your birthday. I hope you are taking a day today in lieu of it?

I've been considering getting one for awhile. Would love to hear how you feel about them after you've had them for awhile. If you got the baby...do you wish you had splurged on the medium one? Same with medium size...do you wish had splurged on the studio? Also, so many dies to choose from? I've made a list of ones I want...need to float a loan on the house! Well, slight exaggeration, but which would you recommend as starters? Thanks! Sandi

OK Sandi. I'll do that, but don't expect feedback for a while. I still haven't gotten all my cutting mats,, and I'll need some time to play before I'll feel confident to provide good feedback. Just remember though I am not a traditional quilter, so what is useful for me may be different for traditional quilters. I got the medium one.

Hi Sandi The Go Baby will work with Sarah's Sedona Star that is why I ordered it. I don't think I will use it very often I do think it will help in June for BOM. The dies are expensive, I was not crazy about fusible applique in the past time will tell like Betty Jo I will play for awhile and let you know. Joan

I get the feeling that for most of us it would be great to be able to hire one for a week at a time or to be able to book time on one at a local quilt shop. This would be especially useful for finding out if it is some thing that we would like to buy or not.

That's a great idea Rosemary, I wish it were possible here.

I totally agree with you, Rosemary. I cannot even fathom using one regularly and would rather put my pennies elsewhere. They also take up precious space that I don't have. I would not mind booking time for a fee, though, to cut out the small circles I need for the BOM 2012, for example. Renata

I'm going to share mine with my daughter in law-- orinebula -- plus I just retired to be a full time fabric artist, so it seemed a good investment for me. I agree it's really expensive for casual use. If you have several quilters nearby, perhaps you could pool your money and buy one together to pass around as needed. I may find though that I use it a lot. Will let you know.

I love my Go! I find I use it quite a bit. I really use the 1 1/2" and 2 1/2" strip dies. Any scrap that is less than a fat 1/8 gets cut up into strips if it is more than 10 inches from a selvidge. If it is smaller it might get cut into a square or triangle. Then they get set into a box for use at some other time. I'm actually thinking about selling a bunch of them at my next garage sale (can't hurt to try!). I also have a quilt top my grandmother made that is really poorly cut and sewn, so I took one of the blocks with me to the quilt show last year and the people at the Accuquilt booth helped me figure out which dies I needed to recut the pieces so I can have a sturdier keepsake and it will still be part of my grandmother. As for the studio, I really didn't think about getting one, mostly for space reasons. The Go! folds up and sits under a desk until I need it.

The GO usually comes with a beginning set of dies and if you check out You Tube there are many videos showing what can be done with it by Accuquilt as well as many others who have made neat quilts. You can sign up on Accuquilts site and get free patterns and ideas also.

It's not about the GO. I know absolutely nothing about that, but you being so tired of screen names and passwords made me think, you could be interested in this
