From what I hear TQS is planning a super treat for my 60th birthday by releasing the 900 series DVDs on that date. So when is it? 12th May 2012. Isn't that nice of them?!!

Anna, I got into that queue first. Maybe you can negotiate for a special release date for series 1000.

I don't know about others, but I actually have on my "Want to do over the Christmas holiday" list a couple of my favourite shows from earlier series. I'm really looking forward to have the time to watch Episode 103 (Visualising Color with Joen Wolfrom), Episode 202 (Antique Linens with Cindy Needham), and episodes 212 and 213 (I enjoy that road trip every time I watch it). I wonder if anybody else is planning some serious TQS show watching whilst sitting in a comfy chair with a plate of Scottish Shortbread and a large mug of hot chocolate close by??

Same (or similar) thing, I think, Ritzy.

Yes, and a wee dram of Baileys in the hot chocolate and you will really enjoy the shows!

Hot chocolate is also good with a little amaretto...or peppermint schnapps...

I haven't seen the first series in such a long time. It would be fun to rewatch some of those while working on some hand projects. Great idea!

My favourite is hot chocolate and Grand Marnier, but I prefer them in separate mug/glass, so I can take alternate sips.

Got a gift certificate for an extra series and haven't yet decided which one to have 1,2 or 3, but I must hurry up and decide before it runs out - decisions, decisions!

i'm very very partial to hot fruit and spice tea mixed half-half with red wine (the leftovers from last night's bottle will do quite well....

yup - with all the medication i'm taking at the moment - it messes up the flavour of wine (and other stuff too - but the red wine is the worst), but it's still yummy if converted into mulled wine - especially good with the weather we've had this weekend - although the sun did make an appearance for a little while this afternoon. you really do not want to know how many bottles i emptied down the sink before i realized it's not the wine but me (well actually, the meds...) but i'm due to lower the dosage soon - so that particular side-effect will hopefully also disappear soon :P

That sounds dreadful - especially the alcohol abuse  (spilling it or throwing it away  ) Hope the reason for the meds calms down (or preferably goes away) soon. And well done for finding away around the problem with the mulling

As for watching TQS... I use them as reference ... when I piece I always have them going on the DVD in the background... much nicer because I get tired of listening to bad news. I also like to watch my DVDs with a cup of tea and slices of cake... Italian cream my favorite.

Right now I am getting my quilting fix via T.Q.S. as my machine and equipment is put away while the house is being painted.

I very much appreciate all the suggestions for what to use as 'additives' for my hot drinks over Christmas. But I'm a single malt girl.
