    IPAD 2?

I am seriously contemplating getting an IPAD 2. I only want to get it though if I can watch TQS on it, otherwise I will go for an Android tablet. Can anyone tell me if you are able to watch TQS on the IPAD 2? Thanks

I have an original iPad and I watch the Quilt Show on it, no problems. The only thing I have problems with are the puzzles.

You can do ANYTHING on an IPAD 2! Well, it won't brew coffee. But I do hear they're working on an app for that.

On another subject, i have found a quilters calculator App that is really handy. I calculates yardage, binding, backing,on point triangles and so on. I Love it.

Oh I like the idea of that App. When I get an iPad I will get that! Or an iPhone! For Christmas or my birthday.... Last year I asked my DH to clear out the basement as a Christmas present for me. I got a MacBook instead. As he still hasn't done it maybe I will ask him to clear out the basement again this year

oh rita, what a great idea - good luck.
one of my favourite quilty apps, is "Fabric Stash" with it you can take pictures of your fabrics (or assign pictures in your picture data base) then there is space to enter the type of fabric, the colors, name, manufacturer, quanity you have incl. measurements in either metric or imperial, there is a space to enter its location, notes and even to assign it to a project. when i got my new fabric shelving this summer/fall, i took the opportunity to sort and refold all my fabrics, and they are now all photographed and entered into this app. makes figuring out if i already have this or that a breeze when i'm at a fabric store (i tend to buy similar things again and again).
For Calculating Fabric (blocks, binding, etc. etc.) either in metric or imperial, i like Robert Kaufmann's "QuiltCalc" App.
"BlockFab" is also quite interesting giving some basic block patterns with colour and combination ideas as well as a fabric calculation guide for the required patches.

I had to ask for the same gift 13 yrs before I got it--you may not be willing to wait that long ;o)

" Can you use 'apps' on a windows computer? " No, but windows must have their own apps (applications). But really - next time around, get a Mac (Apple). More fun. 8) 8)

I would like to, but the only reason I have this one is because it was a spare my Dad had bought and then didn't use. Macs are waaay out of my price range currently, but I have been eyeing up the small android tablets - they take apps, unfortunately DH doesn't think that I really need one, because it is for people 'on the go', and I tend to be fairly 'stationary' (sigh)

i just have everything on my iPhone - have been seriously considering purchasing an iPad but decided on a small - high power laptop instead - this way i can do everything on one thing...(much easier for travel)
but everytime my colleage johan comes around with his iPad2 - showing me the new stuff he has .... i start reconsidering.... should be in chicago next march for the american college of cardiology congress - just possibly will be doing a longer than usual pit-stop in the apple store - johan will be there as well - oh no - STAY FIRM or my bank account will not be happy with me
