ON YOUR SNOW DAY...WHAT DID YOU DO?

BLOGGED a lot... about quilting of course !
Posted pictures of playing with my newest quilt patches/ block.

    Sewed Triangles

Posted a podcast talking about the HALF SQ TRIANGLE EXCHANGE.

SEWED TRIANGLES... I like Editya's papers better than THANGLES but thangles work better with jelly rolls.

Pre -washed all my white fabrics cause I am in the process of sorting through my stash.

    Sewed Triangles

    Took a nap....

Sewed Triangles... I have 4 packages of ASSORTED sizes of THANGLES --- I am using my stash to make bunches of TRIANGLES.... I am putting them in a quilt with the little ones in the inside / center medallion and then the triangles get bigger as medallion radiate outward. I have seen the medallions with a frame and other quilts without... Have not decided which way I will make this quilt.

Since our ice days turned to snow I can respond. I'm working on a new block pattern that I hope to sew later today.

I haven't had a snow day for 25 years or so...I think it might be time to take a "sick" day

Sure, you guys, rub it in. We never get snow days in Vancouver. I'd sure like one!

We don't get snow days in Alberta either. I sure wish we did.

Here in Manitoba we get snow, not only are there snow days, there may be cold days. I love my four seasons and no longer have a favorite. Before you know it the weather is changing. In retirement every day there is no reason to be excited about snow days. Those are good days to recall stories of what you did during the sock down blizzard of 1966, for one, or the winter of 1955 when there was a snow record. All fun and games.

We definitely do get snow and have had lots of it this winter (yesterday we enjoyed melting snow as a chinook raised the temp to +9C). Saw that you were getting rain in Vancouver. Don't get too wet!

You're not kidding! Yesterday both my front and back yards were flooded. I've never seen the front yard flood before!
