Maybe we should start a support group for those of us damaged for life from our mothers' haircutting skills (or lack thereof!)! LOL!

P.S you shoulda seen some of the perms she gave me back when!
Kalynn, to this day I can't stand to use a curling iron because my Mom used one on me when I was a child that she had to heat on the stove!!! I didn't like sitting still either so she could give me those cute curls for the big bows she put in my hair! Dear Mom also liked ironing the puffy sleeves on my pretty dresses. I'll die wearing hot rollers before I use a curling iron on my hair! Oh, that felt sooooo gooood to unload!!! There are a few ways in which I am not like my mother!!! LOL!

As I live in Ireland I don't get to go to any of the shows in America, so I feel very hard done by. Looking forward to the challenge. Hope I have succeeded in uploading a photo. :?

Shirley, I had to go to bed every saturday night with hard plastic curlers (they had very uncomfortable spikes in them) in my wet hair. This was because my mother had straight hair and wanted curly hair. I was born with curly hair so that when she took the curlers out on sunday morning my hair would stay in the shape of the curlers for several days. She perms her hair to this day. I have straightened my hair since I was old enough to refuse the curlers! Oh the things we had done to us as children! I am nearly over it now though.
