    Dating Fabric

Trying to date this fabric and could use some help. This quilt was in a relatives basement for many years and has no known history.

based on what I'm seeing it looks like 30's & 40's fabrics.
There is a great new book out on dating fabrics called, 'dating fabrics - a color guide 1800 - 1960 by Eileen Trestain.
It's spiral bound and easy to figure out.
    Happy quilting!

      Silly me ops:

I thought from the title, someone was talking about 'going out for a date' with some fabric

And my first thought was: 'Mmmmhhh... you can date fabric now. Great! Must be more fun than a boyfriend!'

Seriously: I'm sorry I can't help. But that piece looks very cheerful and in good condition. What are you going to do with it?
