IF YOU WERE A QUILT WHAT WOULD YOU LOOK LIKE???

    http://selvageblog.blogspot.com/2010...-you-look.html

I was listening to a podcast when this question was posed.... IF YOU WERE A QUILT WHAT WOULD YOU LOOK LIKE???
For some reason that question tickled my fancy.

I am wondering if what TQS MEMBERS WOULD LOOK LIKE IF THEY WERE QUILTS.

Fun question! Let's see......It would be long and not too wide, shades of yellow at the top, perhaps some loud colors throughout, and LOTS of bling. It would speak to everyone, but some may not want to answer back, as many people do not like a loud quilt. But, if the viewer really looks closely, they will see qualities that are of a softer nature, and find it to really be a fun quilt. It would not have a hidden message within; the main focal point would be very evident. It would be simple - not very complex. Oh, and it would be vintage! (Not antique, just vintage.)

I wouldn't be one of those beautiful quilts that hang on a wall and are not to be touched. I would be a utility quilt that is used daily, worn at the edges, but well loved!

I would have warm vibrant colors in the center medalion, with borders that are grey, a little fluffy and worn. And comfy!

I would have to be a round and curvy edged quilt. Mostly pieced in shades of blues that look mellow. I would be a warm cozy quilt that was always right there when you need to cuddle with something.

My colors would be bright and loud............but pure.... red / yellow / purple/ blues and greens.... ... probably King sized with double batting... I guess I would be utilitarian .... with swirling curving pattern... not square or rectangular pattern.... patterns original and slightly wacky.... that would be me.

Hmm, I think I would definitely be made of bright colors that are very deep in their hues. I would definitely be a comfort quilt and not very wide but long with sharp angles in the quilting. I would be well used and soft.

It would be interesting to see what those who have met us would think about what kind of quilt we would be. Margo, Dana, Maggie or Bridget could probably answer better for me.

I think Ritzy would have to be a HUGE quilt because she wraps her comforting arms around so many with her heartfelt prayers. Her backing would be flannel or minkee.
