Maybe you should have posted this in the "Help! - I'm Stuck!" category  Sorry, I shouldn't make jokes about your misfortune [smacked hand] . Which product have you used? Have you heat fused it with the iron? I fear the answer is going to be that you can't do a lot, but someone may know of a magic product that will unstick the glue. Could you appliqué something else over the top?

Hi Ali ! Thanks for your reply. Well, here's the deal. Yes, unfortunately I already fused it with a hot iron. The fusible was Lite Steam-a-Seam 2. Sometimes it peels off when you don't want it to - but when you want it to - guess what - it doesn't !! The quilt top is about symmetric pieces. Only one piece on the entire quilt top is ajar. So aggravating. My husband says "you can't even tell" - well, he's not a quilter now, IS he ?? LOL - I made it to enter into a show which, for me, makes it worse. I wish there was something I could applique over it, but there isn't. You're very sweet for taking the time to read my post. Thanks. Hugs, P

Actually there is something you can try. Place a piece of aluminum foil over the applique you want to remove and iron. Once the fabric is warm and soft you can pull it off. Then you can iron again with the foil. It will often pick up all the excess fusible - often but not always. Worth a try anyway!

Okay girls - I was told by one person that steam takes off the piece that was fused on. This works. And.... "annlp" (see her post above) was exactly right. Put a piece of aluminum foil dull side down on the residual glue. Iron with a hot iron and it dries it up and comes right off - THANK YOU ANNLP !!!!
