500 Art Quilts---I'm thinking of buying that book too, Dana. Glad to hear it's rewarding. DB gave me an Amazon gift certificate for my birthday and I've spent hours trying to pick two books to buy----it's just too hard a decision!

BTW, State Fair does have a page mentioning the block, but it's not at all related to the story, which----no spoiler alert here---takes place at the State Fair.

I just started the 1st Marie Bostwick book, A Single Thread. I'm often waiting in offices so I've found that taking along light reading is a surefire way to make the appointment go very quickly !

Somebody has given me a couple of Monica Ferris novels. That should keep me out of mischief for a while, and then they'll go to Della.

Not reading today but watching QUILT ART DVDs.... not tooo oooo terribly impressed because they try and cram to much into their segments but do not bother to explain how they are achieving their methods..... Demonstrations are skimpy

I like TQS they go through every step in details so you can go out on your own use the technique you learned on your own projects.

Did hit a couple of 4TH JULY SALES and bought more fabric to make a new KK quilt. MY DAUGHTER LOVES, LOVES, LOVES THIS QUILT.

          Happy 4th July to everyone.

Bought a medallion quilt book by Cindy Hamilton and I want to make the sunflower or dahlia quilt (marti michell has one similar called the giant dahlia quilt). I am totally in love with it! I just finished reading through the whole book! I ordered another book on dahlia quilts which I am excited to get. I do have to find a novel to read for my holidays coming up in a week, but haven't found anything that interests me. Will wander down to the local used book store and see what I can find I guess.

            Ladyrags, what's a KK quilt?

I've had "Picture Piecing" by Cynthia England for a couple of years but never read it. Now that I've seen her demo the technique for Alex, I'm actually reading it and am going to give it a try. I'm also rereading "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon. Can't beat a good historical romance  .
