    2010 May Healthy Life

    Hello TQS!
Have been battling back and forth with weight and diet. Bouncing just above a milestone that I really want to cross.
I know that I just have to stay persistent with the good habits and get into the gym 3 or more days per week and it will come. Just impatient.
God Bless you all as you pursue a healthier lifestyle for yourself and your families! Bonnie

I am still here...checking in... I am off to the US on Saturday. Am a bit worried about all the eating out while traveling or exercising. Just have to be extra careful with the calories. Good luck to all over the summer

Have a good visit. Maybe you'll be too busy having fun to eat wrong. Karen

I gained a pound this last week but life sort of got in the way. I'm going to brag then complain: The kids and grands were here this past weekend. We went to the park, picked teams, and played softball. I hit the ball and ran the bases several times (that's the bragging part). I am hobbling around and taking Ibuprofen today (that's the complaining part). The thing is, I could not have even attempted such play several months ago. Bottom line? Thanks to all of you who are on this journey with me. I don't think I would have done this well without your support

I am visiting my sister in Iowa right now, but wanted to report that I'm pleased with my efforts to loose 20 pounds this year.

I make an effort (even when travelling) to walk every day, drink lots of water, and control my portion sizes. I haven't really changed WHAT I eat....I'm just really careful with portion control (using salad plates instead of dinner sized plates) and cutting out snacks that I know won't help me get to my goal.

I consiously think about EVERYTHING that goes into my mouth. I think:
is this necessary? is it good for me? is there a better choice to help me get to my goal?

It's working for me! I've lost 18 pounds since Thanksgiving!!
And it feels really good to get back into my smaller clothes!!!

            Good luck everyone!

Margo, thanks for the tips and encouraging thought process! I think I'll have those questions tatooed on my lower arm! On the inside of it of course, so only I can see it!
