I'll upgrade. It's been amazingly helpful to me even though I am not a traditional quilter. I don't like math and it takes care of that when I need it.

I have EQ5, use it occasionally. Wonder if I have to update to 6 before 7? Looks like a fun program. Sandi in FL

Sandy, I have EQ5, too. The website says I'd have to purchase the full program. Phooey! Not sure if I will, as I haven't used it very often as of late.

Thanks for the link. I have ordered my upgrade as EQ has a good savings on the upgrade until May 31.

Electric Quilt Company had a contest for bloggers who posted about the new EQ7 on their blog. They picked 10 blogs to win and mind was one of them! So they are giving me EQ7, and one to give away on my blog too! I'm so excited, go have a look and enter my competiton if you like.

I went to the EQ website and reviewed what information was available and ordered. The new way to drag and drop blocks in the custom layout was enough to make me want it and the new way to view images sounds really neat. I knew I would want it, so why not order at a pre-order price?

                        Looking forward to June.

OH kindly reminded me that I've already used 2 of my activations when I changed the laptop from Vista to Windows 7 and as I've just had a really good offer come through via email, I've gone ahead and ordered, just for the activation freedom mainly! It's cheaper than extra dongles!

And the design program has helped me out on a few sticky hiccups!!

I have already ordered my upgrade, and can't wait until it ships. The new activation policy was one of the main reasons, but every time they have upgraded the software, they always add so many cool features, that it is well worth it to me.

I have used the program to make a few quilts, that I probably would have never made if it hadn't been for EQ. It is so much easier to put my ideas on the computer, than to try and draw them out myself. If I don't like what I have done, I can just do a few clicks and change it... can't do that with paper and colored pencils.

                              Is it JUNE yet????

I use EQ6 quite a bit, and will definitely upgrade. My near-local quilt shop, Cotton and Chocolates, is taking names for the pre-release special. My name is already on the list.!

I have some minor quibbles with EQ but on the whole I find it indispensable.
