    Where is everyone??

Has spring struck? Has everyone decided that there are better things to do.... Has everyone gone on quilting holidays?

I am seeing a drastic decrease in the number of post here...

    Anna,
Yes I have been lurking and not posting much. Between the Rodeo (15 days), trying to get the house ready to put on the market, PT for my knee, and trying to get my son's graduation quilt done, I've been doing a hit and run most days. I log on, check the daily blog, check the new forum posts, check the member blogs and the new quilts in the gallery. I post occasionally and have managed a few blogs. I still have PT and the graduation quilt is coming along nicely so I may have more time.

I check in every day, too. I wondered the same thing. I posted about the volcanic ash which seems to be getting worse. Maybe everyone is stuck at an airport somewhere.
I am getting packed to go back to PA on Sat. Hope the cloud doesn't reach America. Judy in AZ

My poor nephew. He was in Europe on business and is stuck. He's supposed to get married this Sunday in New York. He tried to get out through Spain but that fell through. Now he's on his way to the Southern part of Italy. He thinks he'll have a flight this Thursday. And guess where they're suppose to honeymoon next week???
        Italy of course!

Marsha, I hope he makes it back in time for the Wedding.

I have been busy, but check in quite often, just not much to say at the moment.

I have been quilting. What a concept!!!! I finally took a quilt off the design wall that had been up there in various stages of "done" for nearly 5 years. I machine appliqued several different elements of the quilt then was not sure what I wanted to do next. The quilt lived on the wall for a while. Then I learned a new technique and I added an element with curves. Then the quilt hung on the wall for some more time. I then developed a spiral technique and I used that for two more elements. Then the pieces and part lived on the wall for some more time. I finally told myself it was way past time to put the parts together. As I began sewing the elements together, it got to looking better and better. Nothing like success to encourage progress. I am quilting the quilt in five sections on my home machine,a Pfaff Creative Vision. Three of the five are quilted. When all sections are quilted they will be joined. Photo will be on my profile. Hopefully before another five years pass. Betty Ann

I wondered too about the few posts. I check in daily but lately I've just not had whatever it takes to put thought to keyboard. One of these days I will even have a quilt to take pictures of and post. Glory be :!:

I've been busy also between leaky roof from all the rain a few weeks ago, vacation, new floors, furnis cleaning, and dumpster for spring cleaning. I think that covers everything. But I do manage to check in once in awhile.

Yeah, the groom is on his way home. He found a flight in Italy and should be home in time! Of course he returns to Italy next week for his honeymoon!

I'm so happy for them! How bizarre that he's going right back there for their honeymoon. Karen

I check the forum every time I login. I use to read almost everything that was new, but now I just read the topics of interest. My guess is that the novelty of the forum has worn off for most. Besides that, too many posts are non-informative and unnecessary.

I think a lot of people are at shows right now too, so they are not posting. I'm working but I did quilt this past weekend! Sandi in FL

The groom arrived home from Italy in time for the wedding. The wedding was beautiful. Bride and groom were ready to honeymoon in Italy. The bride falls and breaks her ankle and is not allowed to fly....no honeymoon in Italy.
