New computer with WINDOWS 7 VS quilt programs

HAD TO GET A NEW COMPUTER... came with Window 7 .... does anyone know can you run EQ6 on Windows7 ? I sent a email to EQ but being the weekend I do not think I will get an answer til next week.

I sure hope I can find my code / numbers for EQ... I know I had them on the old computer but that bit the dust... boo hoo...

If it worked with vista it should work. windows 7 is supposed to much better with compatibility issues than vista is but I'm just taking a guess as I still use eq5.

Yes it runs fine, even on 64bit. I run Windows 7 on my Mac via Fusion, and both EQ6 and my Bernina embroidery software run perfectly on it.

I just installed mine this week. If you have an EQ6 upgrade, EQ5 will have to be installed first. If you get an error message saying EQ6 could not initialize, go to the Program Files, Electric Quilt Company, open the EQ6 folder and look for the red and white EQ6.EXE file (it's an application file). Right-click on it and choose Run as Administrator in the menu. Click Allow. Sometimes it helps to read the "Read Me First!" instructions before installing. Ask me how I know!

I LOVE COMING HERE for computer info... I actually understand what you say.

If I talk to GEEK SQUAD and/or computer repair... I never understand what they say.
