Quilt LIfe ... will it sell on newstands--Questions

Just wondering if QUILT LIFE will sell on newstands/ JoAnn Fabric etc where other quilt mags are... I would like to check it out....but I have cancelled all my subscriptions cause all the mags seemed to be too much the same... ALL THE PATTERNS looked the same with the same blocks just selling / pitching different fabric lines.

What do you like about QUILT LIFE

I DID use to like the $100,000 challenge magazine but have not seen it for a long time.... Did it tank? Anyone know

What do you look for in Quilt magazines???

I've subscribed to Quilt Life and am still waiting to get my first issue this month. I too have subscribed to many quilting magazines and dropped them after the subscription ran out as they got boring. I started this one based on Alex and Ricky. I hope it lives up to the excellence we get on this site. I don't expect to like everything in the magazine, but hope for at least one or two segments in each issue. I can't wait to get it. Jan

      LadyRags,

I agree that quilt mags all seem too much the same. Before Quilt Life I've never subscribed to one because I couldn't decide which one to go for. What I prefer in a quilting magazine are articles rather than just lots of patterns, and that's why I subscribed to the Quilt Life based on the previews. The first issue won't come out 'til the end of February. I'll let you know what I think!

BTW, I'm new to the site as a star member. It's great being here.

It is my understanding that it will - but I have emailed Meredith (AQS) and asked specifically where. I will keep you posted. Jan has a fresh off the press copy - straight from the printer - she is over night-ing it to me - I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!! (can you tell?)

I am chomping at the bit waiting for Quilt Life!! I've dropped most of my personal quilt mags except for Quilters Newsletter; I can't give that one up! I get mostly trade mags now-I want to stay current for my clients.

I'm a very patient girl (most of the times). It'll be interesting to see how long the magazine takes to fly (or swim) across the big pond. Let's hope for a strong tail wind.

Alex, magazine will be in the Barnes & Noble stores, Hastings, Books- a- Million for sure. Looks great.

(Jan is over nighting her preview copies to Ricky and myself today - Lilo is actually meeting Ricky at the airport with his! I can't hardly stand it!!)

Ricky says in his Blog post that it will be in Barnes & Noble, etc. in a matter of days. Maybe the subscribers will get their copies soon, too. I hope!!! Marge

I seem to remember the confirmation email I received said the magazine would ship on Feb. 20. That's only days away.

Hang in there quilter friends, it's on the way. I have a subscription and mine came today! It's packed full of interesting articles, etc. I only had time to skim through the issue and will spend more time reading it all in the next few days. Looks good!

Isn't it funny how magazines can all be mailed together but we don't get them at the same time. With today's technology you wouldn't think it would have to happen like that.
