    I believe the answer to your question Marge yes. Its the windows that allows the EQ programs to work. Bootcamp is what allows Apple and Microsoft to work on the same computer. Here is a link to apple FAQ's on the subject. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1656

      Sounds right to me.

      My question NOW because I can't remember the discussions a year ago with Apple (getting old is tough, isn't it?) that Parallel AND Fusion both allow both OS to be up at the same time, but it takes much more space on the hard drive to do that, and makes it run slower.

      I don't know what the VM stuff is, but sounds like it works well for you!

      And yes, sometimes it is irritating to have to reboot to do quilt stuff, but that's what I decided to do. I might take another route next time, who knows. It's always changing, isn't it?

        Beth, I signed up for a yahoo group and the question about the printer came up. they said you have to install the printer on the windows side. hope it helps.

        there was also some stuff on Parallel. but need to go read it again.Cheryl
