I did well this year because when I was asked if I had a wish list, I provided one! I got three new presser feet and the magnifying lens set for my new Bernina 440 QEE. I got two Jennifer Chiaverini quilt novels. I got a Krafter's Purse for toting and storing lots of my smaller sewing notions. I was a little sad to find out that the magnifying lens set has to be installed by a Bernina Dealer. There's a big red warning sheet in the box that says that the consumer should NOT attempt this. Since my dealer is a 45 minute drive away and the technician is only there once or twice a week, it may be quite a while before I get to use the lenses.

A thread rack and a new PC. I didn't ask for either. I bought myself a P-Touch labeler. My PC isn't set up yet as I'm busy organizing with my labeler. But when it is hopefully the icons will reappear on the blog.

My DH and I don't exchange gifts but the kids know to get me gift certificates! Quilt in a Day (http://www.quiltinaday.com) has a special going through Dec. 31, buy a $100 gift certificate and get a $20 gift certificate free, $75 gets a free $15, $50 gets a free $10 and $25 gets a free $5. They gave me $120 in Quilt in a Day gift certificates. I will have so much fun!

I received 3 Jennifer Chiaverini quilt novels, gift card to LQS, and a new PC. I must have not been very creative with my wish list because my daughter kept asking what I wanted for Christmas other than sewing stuff.

"Sewing Santa" brought me some pretty fabric (that he picked out all by himself!), 2 purse patterns, a desktop needle threader (on the off chance that I ever sew anything by hand!), Strip Therapy book 2, a Jennifer Chiaverinni book, and a large bag of dark chocolate peanut M&Ms.

Hubby bought me a Grace hoop that is on a stand. It arrived Christmas Eve and is not only beautiful but perfect. I can hardly wait to start handquilting on it.

Our family had a wonderful time together which is the best I could ever ask for. My quilt related gifts included $$$s and gift certificates for my LQS, marking pencils and a 6.5 inch square ruler. I have also had time to work on my quilting projects as I am off from work until Jan 6.

My DH got me a nice little flat TV that he's mounting on the wall in my sewing room, freeing up plenty of table space that the old boxy tv took. He also got me a book called "The Civil War Diary Quilt" by Rosemary Youngs. It's got 121 blocks and each one has a diary entry from a woman from the era.

Only complaint is that most of the names of the blocks are sad ones! It was a trying time for women! Nice book though.

My dear Hubby paid off the last year of payments on my Pfaff Creative Vision. I signed up for a Corel Draw use class with Caryl Fallert in May and I needed a new laptop. My personal Santa came through with that too. A JoAnn's gift certificate from my niece turned into yarn, beads and some fabric. A great Christmas in so many ways. Betty Ann
