I got into quilting because of all the left over fabric from making dresses for my grand daughters. So I have a predominance of pinks and purples! I seem to head for the bright colors and most of the fabric I have is girly. Now I am trying to use up alot of this making baby quilts which is going well, except that all my daughters friends are having boys this time around! -
I've gone through my Thimbleberries phase, my solid phase, Amish, plaids, hand dyes, batiks, calicoes............................... I have bits and pieces of them all, like photos of days gone by.
Blue is my favorite color. Like Kathy B., I wore a school uniform; I wore blue jumpers for 8 years and then blue wool plaids for 4 years. Unlike her, I can't seem to get away from it.

I have found my taste in fabric has changed over the years... When I first started quilting I bought CW and repro fabrics as I was under the influence of my quilting teacher... I always had my secret stash of fabrics I adored.... brights, Batiks, florals.
Now I buy fabrics only when I have a specific project in mind. I am hoping that that will cut down on expenditures... I am really into string and scrap quilts right now. I find this allows me to decrease my stash. I am using up my UGLY fabric in scrap quilts.
MY PROBLEM .... I DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH SEWING TIME.
