Well Greg's had a setback. The red in his leg hasn't changed much in the last day or so and he woke up yesterday morning with pain in his big toe. The doctor thought that the infection had triggered a flareup of gout. So he got stuck again so they could do the tests. Found out this afternoon that the test was negative. He was in so much pain last night that he had the nurses call his doctor for pain meds. It took them two tries to find something that worked. When I went in this morning he was still kind of out of it from the meds. Now his foot in kind of pink and it is really swollen. The doctor won't let him come home until the podiatrist sees him to figure out what's wrong with his foot. He was supposed to come by today but didn't make it in. Don't know if he'll come in on Sunday. Greg's getting really tired of being in the hospital.

Thank you everyone for your prayers. It was confirmed last night that he did have gout and not an infection in the toe joint. That was actually good news. If it was an infection, he would have had to be on IV antibiotics for several weeks. He came home last night and I'm trying to make him take it easy.

Francis -- when my DH feels the gout coming on we get cherries - frozen or fresh - and they have the acid needed to help with the gout, but be sure to keep a prescription on hand. He will only take it as needed, but for some reason the cherries help.

              Take care, Sharon

Please pray for the family and friends of two teens that were killed in a car accident last weekend. They are Taylor(female) and Eric and both were 16. There are many people struggling with this right now.

Bob, a friend from church, has been diagnosed with cancer. The growth is 8" by 6". Very large and in his abdomen. Please pray for him and the Drs. to have wisdom and for his wife Barb.

                                Hello everyone,

Hope the list is quiet because you are all having lovely and peace-filled summers !

I'd appreciate it if you would pray for DH and our family. He lost his job in early February and still has not found a new one. DH was waiting to hear about the training he would begin for a position which was a promotion when he got the news. While we felt like we had whiplash, we also knew immediately it was one of those out-of-the-blue, makes-no-sense kind of things that had the Lord's handwriting on it.

His former employer is the largest private one in our state, so finding a job somewhere else is difficult to say the least. Thank the Lord that he has had some severance, but that will run out soon. The sad thing is that he keeps running into other recently departed workers from the same company, and as one of them put it, they all have grey in their hair.

We are willing to relocate, but with trying to sell a house here and all that would involve, it would definitely have to be the Lord moving in marvelous ways to open up all the doors that would need to be for that to happen.

Thank you to all you faithful prayer partners !

                                Sue
