PRINTING ON FREEZER PAPER
I need input from y'all. I am printing templates for a spiral class that I am teaching. They have to be printed on freezer paper for my technique. I usually cut my own 8.5 X 11 sheets off the roll and print them one by one. This is not too much work for one set of templates but having to make 20 sets one at a time is not good use of my time. SOOOOO what I want help with is-------Have any of you printed on the pre-cut freezer paper sheets? If so, Can I stack them up and have them feed themselves thru my printer? Or am I just going to have to learn a lesson in patience. Thanks in advance for the input I know I will get from the knowledgable crew.

I have used freezer paper to make my own fabric sheets for printing photos and it works but I had to put One sheet in at a time. I don't know about printing out patterns onto freezer paper-I'm sure you would have to feed the paper one at a time because of the texture of freezer paper they would stick together with the static.
This would work out great for paper piecing pattern.

Why not just print your patterns onto regular printer paper and then tape/glue/spray baste the patterns to the paper side of your freezer paper? That way, you might save freezer paper if your patterns do not take up the entire 8.5" x 11" sheet. Even if the patterns do take up the entire sheets, you do not have to be so precise in your cutting if the freezer paper isn't being fed through your printer. Also, the extra paper will give your templates a little more stability.
Prior to your question, I didn't realize that you could safely put freezer paper through your printer without the waxy side being covered by fabric.

Don't put freezer paper thru on your laser printer...just ask me how I know :shock:
I still have issues with sending freezer paper thru my ink jet. I finally caved and just took the stuff to my local copy center. I use the local dude...not a chain like Kinkos. Kinkos refused to copy a label design for a quilt because of copyright law. The label came from Printed Treasures from June Taylor at JoAnns. I had the package with the information...and only want ONE copy for my personal use.
Sorry for the rant...about Kinkos...but I have had more than one issue with this company about making a copy.
So now I take my business to the local printer dude who is very helpful and appreciates the business.

Thanks for all the helpfull suggestions. I have done all the templates for tomorrows class one at a time. I guess I will buy a box of the pre-cut sheets and see if they will print from the stack and just chalk the extra cost up to personal education. Then I will let you all know how it worked out. I've never had any trouble with the precut freezer paper sheets, but then, I've never tried to print more than one at a time.
One thing I DO know is that you can't run them through a photocopier. The wax melts all over the rollers. Ask me how I know this!
