    Storms in Mississippi

I have just been watching the Weather Channel, and they are reporting severe storms in the Olive Branch, Mississippi, area yesterday. I hope all of the TQS members in the affected area are okay. I know Dana (dlquilter) lives there. Does anyone have any specific information about how people in that area are doing? Marge

I just talked to Dana and she's OK, her family's OK, and her house just lost a few shingles. She doesn't have power or internet (which she's not happy about!) but she's otherwise fine. And she's touched that you were concerned and will check in soon.

Thanks, Bridget. It's good to hear that she is okay. I just hope everyone else in the affected area is too.

Am so glad to hear she's ok. I didn't even know about the storms as it's my weekend to work - plus I've been a little under the weather with a virus. But as an NP, I CAN'T be sick, can I? ha

I am so happy to hear that Dana is alright and made it through the storms with little damage. Hopefully the power issues will be taken care of soon. Stay safe....Karen

I'm glad Dana and her family are okay. It's that time of the year, if you live in or near tornado alley, that you have to keep your eye to the sky. We've had more than our share of severe weather over the last few weeks and are expecting more tonight, tomorrow and more days ahead.

After having two major long term power outages due to bad storms, my husband and I decided we'd had enough. So, we purchased an automatic backup generator--no more expensive than some of the sewing machines I've priced recently. It was the best investment, which has already paid for itself in more ways than just comfort and peace of mind.

I'm so happy to hear Dana and the family are doing fine. When I lived in Colorado one year an entire town was wiped out due to a tornado. They are devastating.
