    One seam Flying Geese

    Out with the old flying geese technique in with the new technique of making flying geese or pyramids.
    Ricky demonstrates how to make one seam flying geese and you can check out his technique by going to the daily blog then type flying geese into the search box then click on the photo once it comes to that page. Simply Awesome, they are quick,easy,fun!

    RICKY'S DAD made the flying geese quilt on one of the shows in the second season it was really lovely. I hope to make one too.

      I Love Ricky's Dad quilts he does beautiful work also,he sure gets alot of nice tie dye fabrics! I to would like to make a prymid quilt,along with a Kaliedoscope on the list now too!!! Ricky's show on the Kaliedoscope quilt was awesome to. I may be one of those saying but I don't like mine,ya just gotta work with it! I'll be hitting that rewind button afew times! LOL. His lessons are great. The one seam flying geese was a breeze they go by quickly.

        I do not have hand dyes... love the look but not the fabric so much. Right now I have an on going project.

        Black Kona background..another one in cream background. The triangle made from every fat quarter / yardage I have. I always buy tooooooo much sew I always have big hunks of fabric left over from any project I start. I am sashing as I go along. I put the finish geese in a big box. When I have enough of them done I will hope to have a quilt for my niece and nephew. So far I have 75 blocks for each of the quilts.... I have been afraid to figure out how many I really need to finish the quilt, but I plan to figure out that when I have a 100 blocks made.

          I'm making another one of my borders with small flying geese 3 inch by 1.5 finished, I'm only using 3 per unit then sewing them on point which actually makes a square,you can set these geese flying in four directions. This is my first time playing around with flying Geese,can you tell!! LOL
