Have you read any good books lately

I really wanted to pass on information about a book I purchased yesterday. It's called The Quiltmaker's Gift by Jeff Brumbeau. It is an amazing children's story but it is so full of beautiful illustrations by Gail de Marcken with all kinds of quilt blocks. I loved it and so did 20 yo DD who doesn't sew or quilt. Gloria

I love that book. Did you know they put out a pattern book to accompany that one as well? I think it was called "Quilts from the Quiltmakers Gift" and I know I saw it at the local Barnes and Noble in their quilt/crafting section.

Thanks for the info, Mandy. I think I'll check Amazon.com and see if they have the quilt book. It has been a really long time since something delighted me as much as that book. I am always on the look out for kids books for when the grandkids come. Gloria

It's a wonderful book! I've had it for years!

Most books I get thru them are almost like new! All you pay for to get book credits into your account is postage to send YOUR used books to someone else. And they start you out with free credits!

I have acquired over a hundred new books to read, while sending off over a hundred to others who requested things in MY library. It's a great system for recycling our printed material!

lynn, that book swapping site looks too good to be true. I've already told some of my friends about it. my problem is, if I have a book to read I don't get much sewing done. :?
