hanging a quilt with a curved upper edge

I am having trouble hanging a quilt with a curvy border on the top. The convex places above the hanging sleeve flop over. I have tried stiffen and other starch products with no luck. If I were to feed a wire along the top edge, what kind should I use? Any other ideas? Thanks!

Miller, Not sure if this will work, but I used flower wire when I wanted to make sure my dragonfly wings that hung off the edge would not droop with gravity. I made the shape, then
made a cover piece and stitched on both sides of the wire, You would have to applique that by hand so the stitching did not show on the front. Do you have a picture of the quilt
    you are talking about? HelenW

Maybe a separate sleeve pocket for each upper curve would work?

Lovely quilt! Good idea. I just wanted to be sure the metal in the wire would not corrode with age or washing.

I like that idea. I did get some covered wire from the hardware store.
