I need advice on pre-washing flannel fabric. I know flannel shrinks a lot so not sure what to do before piecing a flannel quilt. Need advice please?

I prewash everything before I start piecing, so I definitely prewash flannel.

Pre-wash and put in dryer so the shrinking will happen. My experience is that it will shrink more than once.Comment

absolutely. wash twice, in fact! And be sure to put flannel on the back so it all shrinks together.Comment
