    EQ 6 question

Anyone out there familiar with EQ 6? I have had it for years (obviously) but use it so infrequently that I forget how! My issue right now is that I wanted to upload some swatches of my own fabric to "audition" them in a particular layout and I can't remember how to do it. I scanned them into the computer and I got those files moved into my fabric library in EQ6 but when I put them into the quilt blocks the scale is all wrong. I have read the instructions but can't figure out where I am goofing up. If anyone can tell me what I am doing wrong IN VERY, VERY SIMPLE TERMS, I would greatly appreciate it. I hate being so ignorant with computer things!

I haven't used EQ6 in awhile, but in EQ7 I import them at actual size. I like the results of digital pictures better than scanned ones. My fabric swatches haven't been put into my new computer yet, but I believe I cropped them to about 6" keeping the scale of the fabric.
