    Fabric Bleeding

    Alex:

During one of your programs (I can't remember if t was an old PBS program or a Quilt Show program) you mentioned a fabric bleeding after your quilt had been quilted. I am having this problem! You mentioned a friend provided you with a method to remove the bleeding. Could you please share that process.

I really enjoy your show! Thanks for all you contribute to the quilting world.

I'm not Alex, but I seem to recall that she mentioned using Synthrapol to help get rid of problems of bleeding in a finished quilt. Personally I would use a combination of Synthrapol and Colour Catchers in the wash.

With any luck Margo will be along soon with a better description and links for you.

I used synthrapol (spelling) along with color catchers in the washing macing and it worked! Good luck - it is a heart break no matter how you slice it!

Thanks everyone! I'm going to the quilt store tomorrow and looking for some synthrapol. I'll give it and the color catchers a try!
