Christmas Tree Quilt coming up soon

I have Alex Anderson Classics Holiday Lights Pattern. Is it the same as the upcoming project pattern? Alex referred to paper piecing in the e-mail this week. Is that addressed in new pattern (if it is a new pattern). Other wise how do I get a paper piece pattern? Suggestions please.
If it is totally new pattern I will probably but it . Otherwise I want to use the one I have.

I haven't got a clue..... not unusual. But we have some members here who seem to know just about anything. I bet you get your answer as soon as one of them sees this new thread (Yohoooooo, Margo......).

I just searched on the "Holiday Lights" pattern and it definitely looks the same to me. But that's all I know. If I were you, I'd probably wait to see how her lessons go (unless an insider can give more info). Maybe she'll be giving us the paper-piecing pattern in the class if it isn't in the pattern.

YUP! It is the same pattern - The pattern doesn't come with paper piecing instructions but I will teach how to adapt to that...as well as traditionally pieced. Start collecting your stash........I once had a person make it pink and black - super awesome!

Lorchen, you say you don't have a clue - but your ARE a clue. So many mysteries here on TQS,...hmmm....... "I think Lorchen did it!", or " Lorchen would know!"....... Usually answers it! Like if I received a whole bunch of sweet hearts from people wishing me encouragement and good wishes, and in there amongst them was a set of boxers, there would be a clue: I'd automatically think. "That's Lorchen!"

            Just saying.

Hehehehe.......... Hearts are lovely, but you also need something to keep you occupied! Couldn't find any boxers with hearts on, and not enough time to make any.

You look wonderful in your new pic. Love the hat. I wish Canadians wore hats like the Brits!
I have a very practical side.

I've already thought of putting the boxers into some kind of hat, but.....I think Rosemary needs a swatch of them on her mug rug. Just saying.

'Dewees1', I'm sorry that your thread here got high-jacked because I changed my profile picture.

I'm really looking forward to find out a lot more about that Christmas pattern. I have the feeling that I already have enough suitable fabrics in my stash. My only problem will be finding the time for another project.

I've ordered the kit. I probably could have done it from my stash but.... Hopefully I will be able to keep up and get it done in time for Christmas. I have 2 other Christmas quilts I need to get done for presents this year. Just may have to have the kids make their own lunch and dinner this weekend to get some quilting done.

My kit and pattern arrived yesterday. Pulled the pattern out to look at today at work but didn't pull all the fabric out yet. Loved the colors in it when I glanced at them. Wanted to wait until I start sewing before pulling them all out so I don't loose anything. I am just wondering what size quilt the kit will make.

Just went to Alex's website and see that the kit makes the wall/lap quilt (48" X 52"). That should be doable by Christmas.
