Quilting advice for a lone star quilt

Help! I need some ideas on how to quilt a lone star with applique in the 4 corners. I'd appreciate any ideas!

Are you wanting to quilt it by hand or machine?

          Hi everyone,
I am jumping the gun a little here....still working on the applique on 4 separate corners. When I get that done, I'll sew them together and then sew on the borders...then I'll be ready to quilt. I have an older long arm machine and I am still a beginner, but I'll willing to try almost anything as these quilts are the best way to learn! I took a lone star class about 6 months ago, and if I don't get this done soon I'm afraid it will become a permanent UFO.
I'll post a photo when I get the top completed.
          Thanks
          Susan

When I made mine, I went online and googled lone star quilts and found some amazing designs. There are actually plenty in the quilt gallery right here at TQS. Just blow them up (easy on a Mac) and you'll see more detail. You'll find some great ideas. Check out Kim Brunner, and of course, Jan Krentz! But in the end, it has to be yours. 8)
